Discover Art
You’ll find Purple Pie Gallery currently running through its flagship corridor gallery space inside Blasus Succulent Emporium, a bit unexpected, a bit urban, and completely intentional.
What started as a creative collaboration has quickly grown into a rotating gallery showcasing work from over 20 independent artists, spanning painting, illustration, mixed media and ceramics.
The space is always evolving, nothing stays still for long, and every visit brings something new to discover.

The Purple Pie Gallery Space
Each Purple Pie Gallery exhibition begins with an open call for artists.
We welcome submissions from independent artists across South Wales and beyond, working across painting, illustration, photography, mixed media and ceramics.
From each call, a selection is chosen by our curatorial committee, a small group of creative professionals who help shape the direction and quality of each exhibition.
Exhibitions
We currently run three main seasonal exhibitions each year:
-
Spring Group Exhibition
-
Summer Group Exhibition
-
Autumn Group Exhibition
Each show runs for approximately two months, with work rotating and evolving across the year.
All group exhibitions are curated by Jenna Murphy and designed specifically for our flagship corridor gallery space at Blasus Succulent Emporium.

Our artist portfolio
Once selected, artists become part of the Purple Pie Gallery portfolio.
This means their work can be featured not only in group exhibitions at Blasus Succulent Emporium, but also in future curated spaces, collaborations and venue installations across Cardiff and South Wales.
Our portfolio is what powers everything we do, from café installations to office collections and creative venue takeovers.

Artist-led by nature
Purple Pie Gallery is built around artists, it always has been.
Every exhibition is shaped through an open call process that brings together both emerging and established artists. We’re not focused on hierarchy or labels, but on strong work, fresh perspectives and artists who feel aligned with what we’re building.
This is an artist-led space, curated with care and intention, where every selected artist becomes part of a growing creative network.

A collaboration at Blasus Succulent Emporium
It started with a simple idea, I’d always wanted a space in Cardiff where artists could show their work in a way that felt a bit different. Not formal or traditional, but somewhere more alive, more unexpected.
When the opportunity came up with Blasus Succulent Emporium, everything just clicked. A corridor in an industrial unit that wasn’t really being used, but had so much potential.
That’s where Purple Pie Gallery came in. A flagship corridor gallery tucked inside Blasus, shaped by the space and everything already happening there.
Blasus Succulent Emporium is an independent, women-led business in Cardiff, and Purple Pie Gallery is an artist-led gallery. Together it’s become a shared creative environment built on the same values: community, independence and doing things a bit differently.
It’s become a space where plants, art, events and people all mix together naturally. Where things happen, people return, conversations start, and something new is always forming.
And it still feels like it’s only just getting started.

Be part of it.
Every exhibition at Purple Pie Gallery is shaped by artists, community and collaboration.
Whether you’re here to discover new work, collect a piece you love, or apply for a future exhibition, you’re part of what keeps this space evolving.
You can find us running through the corridor at Blasus Succulent Emporium, where art, plants, events and people all come together in one unexpected space.
