Marie-Claire Hopkin

Marie-Claire rediscovered her love of painting in 2025, aged 54, after not picking up a paintbrush since she was 14. What began with colouring alongside her young son soon became an unexpected creative journey and a fascination with the sea. Now living across the road from the beach, she paints the movement, light and changing moods of the water, placing the viewer low in the sea and close to the experience.
