I’m Jenna, and I wanted to create a space where people could discover original artwork, meet the artists behind it and enjoy the stories that make every piece unique. A place where buying art feels exciting, conversations happen naturally and everyone feels comfortable walking through the door.
Purple Pie grew from my own journey as an artist. After years of exhibiting my own work across South Wales as Jenna Murphy Art, I realised there were so many skilled artists looking for opportunities to share their work too. I didn't just want to exhibit my own paintings anymore, I wanted to create something bigger. A gallery that celebrates creativity, supports independent artists and helps more people discover original art.
Today, Purple Pie Gallery is an independent, artist-led gallery based in Cardiff. We curate seasonal exhibitions each year, showcasing a carefully selected mix of emerging and established artists, alongside workshops, creative events and opportunities for our growing community to connect.
Whether you're searching for your first original painting, adding to your collection, thinking about exhibiting your work or simply popping in for a browse, you're always welcome.

Jenna Murphy
Founder & Curator
Purple Pie Gallery was founded by Cardiff artist Jenna Murphy with a vision to make original art more welcoming, accessible and connected to the community. As both an artist and curator, Jenna carefully selects each exhibition, supports independent artists and creates opportunities for people to discover artwork with a story. From curating exhibitions to teaching workshops, her passion is bringing people together through creativity.
Andrew Wellbeloved
Co-Founder & Creative BuilderAndrew is the person who helps turn ideas into reality. With a background in engineering, he brings a practical and problem-solving approach to Purple Pie, helping transform Jenna’s creative vision into exhibitions, events and experiences.
From building displays and installations to managing the behind-the-scenes details that keep the gallery running smoothly, Andrew plays an essential role in bringing Purple Pie to life.
Aimee & Georgia
Selection PanelBehind every Purple Pie exhibition is a thoughtful selection process, supported by our wonderful selection panel, Aimee and Georgia.
Working alongside Jenna, they help review submissions and select the artists and artwork that create each exhibition. Together, they bring different perspectives, creative insight and a genuine curiosity about the stories behind each artist’s work.
Georgia brings a creative eye and a passion for exploring new ideas, while Aimee’s research skills and attention to detail help us understand more about the artists behind the applications. Their combined knowledge, thoughtful discussions and shared enthusiasm help shape exhibitions that feel balanced, exciting and true to the Purple Pie vision.

Purple Pie Gallery & Blasus Succulent Emporium
Purple Pie Gallery’s journey began through a shared belief that creativity belongs in everyday spaces. Our home at Blasus Succulent Emporium brings together two independent Welsh businesses, created by two women with a passion for building welcoming, creative spaces within their communities.
Founded by entrepreneur Rhona Duncan, Blasus Succulent Emporium is South Wales’ first Succulent Emporium, a botanical oasis nestled in the heart of Canton, Cardiff. With an incredible collection of houseplants, succulents and cacti, alongside workshops, events and creative experiences, Blasus Succulent Emporium has become a much-loved destination for plant lovers, creatives and curious visitors.
Beyond the plant shop, through the café and bar area, you’ll discover Purple Pie Gallery, a unique gallery space tucked away within the character of Blasus Succulent Emporium. Across two floors, visitors can explore original artwork surrounded by plants, discover new artists, enjoy creative workshops and experience a gallery unlike any other.
The partnership between Purple Pie Gallery and Blasus Succulent Emporium was intentional from the beginning. Both businesses share a passion for creativity, connection and creating spaces where people feel welcome. Together, we have created an unexpected place where art and nature meet, where visitors can slow down, explore and discover something beautiful.
